Parents motivate students at Philippine School Career Day

Parents of students at the Philippine School (Bahrain) were invited to be the source speakers as it celebrated Career Day with the theme “Today’s Skill, Tomorrow’s Success” on January 25.
A short program and parade marked the meaningful start of the event. Selected parents from Elementary Education Departments and High School came inside the campus and visited each classroom to discuss their knowledge and expertise about their chosen profession.
Philippine Embassy Consul Bryan Jess T. Baguio was one of the invited parents. They inspired the students by sharing their prowess and how they applied their knowledge and contributed their skills as professionals and skilled workers in the Kingdom.
The parents introduced their roles and jobs as an Architect, Nurse, General Manager, Human Resource Administrator, Bank Manager, Professor, Student Welfare Officer, Junior Sous Chef, Writer, Fitness Coach, Commercial Department Manager, AirCraft Load Planner, Aircraft Technician,3D Visualizer, Flight Attendant, Technician, Mechanical Designer, Teacher, Mechanical Engineer, Diplomat and Electrical Engineer.
The students were thrilled and they admired their parents more. Through this activity, they realised the value of hard work and how Filipino overseas workers proved that Filipinos are really courageous and effective in their areas of work.
The event was organised under the Guidance Services through the collaboration of the PSB teachers, Admin and staff and the Guidance Counselor of Elementary and High School Department Ms Marian Joy Quilang and Mr Glenn D. Raz.
