Bahrain Anti-Doping Agency (B-NADO) wins international accreditation

The Bahrain Anti-Doping Agency (B-NADO) has obtained international accreditation by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
The agency has been accredited as a globally independent body in the field of international doping, after passing the requirements and applying all special standards.
First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), President of the General Sport Authority (GSA), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa hailed the achievement in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
"The international recognition of the Bahrain Anti-Doping Agency as an independent entity reflects the efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Olympic Committee in combating the scourge of doping and striving to implement the regulations and laws stipulated in the Olympic Charter of the International Olympic Committee and the laws of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)", he said. He stressed the role of the Bahrain Anti-Doping Agency as a competent and independent authority to apply the provisions of the international code related to anti-doping in the sports field.
"These efforts aim to preserve Bahraini sport by making it a field of brilliance and competition free from the scourge of the use of banned stimulants", said HH Shaikh Khalid.
