Minister reviews Cities and Villages Development project in Muharraq

Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, yesterday stressed the importance of accelerating the construction of homes in the Cities and Villages Development project that would enhance the living standards of low-income families in Bahrain.
Taking a tour of the houses included in the Project in Muharraq, the minister also revealed that the ministry has successfully processed 156 housing requests in 2022.
The ministry, in collaboration with the Municipal Councils, has already begun working on applications for this year, he added.
Al Mubarak further mentioned that they appointed a specialized team of engineers to oversee the quality and speed of construction.
The Undersecretary for Municipalities Affairs, Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and other officials, including Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Naar, Chairman of the Muharraq Municipal Council, and Municipal Councillor Dalal Al Makhawi, were also present during the statement.
Al-Naar emphasized the significance of the project, which serves the largest segment of eligible families in the area.
The minister added that efforts are underway to set priorities and formulate action plans for 2023 and 2024 to ensure the project’s goals.
