The search and rescue taskforce of the Bahrain Defence Force's Royal Guard has succeeded in rescuing a woman who had been under the rubble for seven days in Turkey.

The Royal Guard's taskforce is currently in Turkey, within the "Arms of Relief Operation, to search for survivors, the injured and the victims in the earthquake-affected areas in Turkey.

HM the King's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, posted a video clip of the rescue operation on his Instagram account.

"The heroes of Bahrain and Oman are saving a woman who had been under the rubble for seven days. May Allah the Almighty bless you with strength," HH Shaikh Nasser wrote on his account.

The video clip showed the members of the Royal Guard's taskforce and Omani rescuers while pulling out a woman who had been trapped in the earthquake rubble for seven days.

The Royal Guard's search and rescue taskforce began its humanitarian relief mission in Turkey last Saturday.
