Huge participation for Productive Families’ award

The Ministry of Social Development announced a significant increase in nominations received this year for the HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Productive Families.
Organised annually at the local level and every two years at the Arab level, the award closed the nominations window on Thursday after remaining open for nearly six weeks from the 8th of January.
Awards are for ‘Best Productive Family’, ‘Best Product’ and ‘Best Sponsor of Productive Families’. Assistant Undersecretary for Community Development at the Ministry of Social Development, Enas Muhammad Al-Majed, said the competition this year signals the increased popularity of the award.
“Only a limited number of applications were excluded for failing to meet set criteria.” The arbitration committee has started the evaluation of Bahraini Handmade Products collected in person at the Capital Mall and food products at a later date.
Winners will be honoured during a ceremony on the 16th of March, An exhibition on “The Perfume and Incense Industry in the Kingdom of Bahrain” will be held on the sidelines of the prize distribution ceremony until early April.
