Bahrain raise over $3.7 million for Turkey and Syria earthquake victims in a single day

Bahrain has raised more than $3.7 million (BD1.38 million) for its national campaign for urgent humanitarian relief for victims of the earthquake that shook Syria and Turkey, announced the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF).
“Day of Solidarity” was organised by Bahrain TV in collaboration with RHF, by the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.
This depicts Bahrainis' solidarity with their brethren in Syria and Turkey who have been impacted by the earthquake, elevating the notion of humanitarianism and good deeds.
HH Shaikh Nasser expressed his most sincere thanks and appreciation to HM the King, the Honorary President of RHF, for his humanitarian initiatives towards the victims.
HH Shaikh Nasser commended the tremendous support given to RHF by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain.
He also directed institutions, companies, individuals, citizens, and residents to contribute to the noble humanitarian work.
Bahrainis, residents, national institutions and companies, banks, societies, and other societal components responded positively to the donation telethon broadcast on Bahrain TV.
RHF Secretary General, Dr. Mustafa Sayed, commended the royal directives and their honourable stances towards brotherly and friendly peoples.
Dr. Sayed thanked all the donors for their generous contributions, adding that preparations are in full swing to deliver humanitarian and relief aid as soon as possible. He noted that the campaign is still going on and that donations can continue through the channels of RHF.
