RCO inaugurates Bahrain School in eastern Egypt
In line with the directives of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO) honorary President His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, RCO Secretary General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed inaugurated the Bahrain School in Egypt yesterday.
The inauguration took place under the patronage of Representative of HM the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and RCO Board of Trustees Chairman HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Shaikh Nasser paid tribute to HM the King for his philanthropic initiatives to support people in friendly countries which reflect the Royal keenness to cement fraternal and humanitarian ties with the rest of the world and assert distinguished relations with Egypt.
He also praised support of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He pointed out that the sustainable development policy was the strategy of RCO in all its humanitarian campaigns to assist countries all over the world.
Conveying the greetings of Shaikh Nasser, the RCO Secretary General described the inauguration of the school in the Eastern Province as a translation of deep-rooted relations between Bahrain and Egypt. He pointed out that the school would provide primary and intermediate education as well as literacy classes.
The school was built in the Eastern Province, in Abu Kabir Centre, in Abu Qoura village, with a capacity of 600 students, a number that can be multiplied with the two-shift system. It features 15 classrooms, a library, a computer lab, a science lab, rooms for the administrative and educational staff, a playground for volleyball, football, handball and basketball, and a meeting hall.
Governor of the Eastern Province Dr. Redha Abdul Salam extended gratitude to HM the King for his pioneering humanitarian initiative, which underscores strong fraternal relations between both countries.
