The House of Representatives' Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee met yesterday to review a draft law linking payment systems among Arab Gulf Cooperation Council states.
Chaired by MP Mahmood Mizra Fardan, the Committee deemed the draft law, attached to Decree No. (20) of 2022, constitutionally sound.
The Committee also reviewed three other draft laws. The first draft law ratifies the statute of the International Council of Dates, which is attached to Decree No. (14) of 2022. The second draft law ratifies the Artemis Agreement on principles of cooperation in civil exploration and the use of the Moon, Mars, comets, and asteroids for peaceful purposes, attached to Decree No. (17) of 2022.
The third draft law ratifies the agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Japan for the mutual encouragement and protection of investment, which is attached to Decree No. (43) of 2022.
