The Filipino Creatives Bahrain art group supported the Filipino community presentation at the International Family Fair held in British School Bahrain on 24 February.
In celebration of this event, different organisations from different countries highlighted the best of each region. Filipino association of parents with children who are students of British School Bahrain, led by Ms Noril Pilpil, showcased the Philippine culture and arts.
The Philippine booth displayed several paintings, products, music, dance, and food uniquely from the Philippines. This aims to showcase to everyone the unique Filipino experience through food, music, and the arts, hoping that they would be inspired one day to visit the beautiful country, Philippines.
The Philippine School Bahrain danced a variety of Filipino folk dances. Filipino Creatives artists supported this event by displaying their artworks with a Filipiniana theme. According to Ms Catherine Paje, one of the founders of Filipino Creatives Bahrain, “We love and highly honor events like this because it is our way of showcasing and sharing our Filipino culture and at the same time creating friendship with other nationalities who are present in the event.
Through this kind of event, we have wonderful opportunities to understand their culture as well.”
