HM King Hamad hails Sir Stewart's visit to F1 Bahrain GP

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday welcomed Sir Jackie Stewart, the 1970’s Formula One champion, hailing his visit to the Kingdom to attend the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2023.
HM the King and Sir Stewart exchanged talks on F1 and the role of the annual international race in promoting rapprochement between people and cultural exchange.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, was present in the meeting.
His Majesty praised Sir Stewart’s achievements in F1, which enjoys large international popularity, and wished him a good stay in Bahrain.
Sir Stewart expressed thanks and appreciation to HM the King for the gracious welcome, extending most sincere congratulations on the achievement acclaimed by the Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and the Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who won first place in the FEI Endurance World Championship, making him the champion of the 160 km race in Abu Dhabi.
