Role of youth in sustainable development highlighted in Bahrain

The youth generation has a key role to play in furthering sustainable development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This came during a plenary youth discussion session, which was hosted today by the Ministry of Sustainable Development.
The outcome of the session will be included in the Second National Voluntary Periodic Review of the Kingdom of Bahrain on the implementation of the sustainable development goals.
The report will be presented during the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in New York City this July under the theme “Accelerating Recovery from the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic and Full Implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.”
The session note the continued support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the commitment of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, to promote Bahraini youth, being partners in national development.
The session also highlighted the role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, in harnessing all efforts to invest in young people’s potential and provide all training opportunities.
