The digital expo, "Athar (Impact) Expo for Digital Arts," featuring paintings by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa and other Bahraini artists, is on display at the Bahraini Women's Moument, "Athar," at the Bahrain FinTech Bay.

The exhibition showcases a selected sample of paintings and selected works by HRH Princess Sabeeka, Wife of HM the King and SCW President, who is a keen supporter of Bahrain's artistic movement and its talented artists.

Organised by the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) in cooperation with the UN Women Regional Office for the Arab States (ROAS) and ROAS' office in Bahrain, the three-day event marks International Women's Day and runs alongside the 67th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67).

SCW Secretary-General, Hala Al-Ansari, UN Resident Coordinator in Bahrain, Khaled El Mekwad, Bahraini artist Leena Al Ayoobi, UN Women officials, and President of the National Council for Arts, Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and artists and specialists were present at the event.

The digital exhibition sheds light on Bahrain's efforts in promoting equal opportunities and gender balance, which are among the main themes of CSW67. Josephine Moss, of UN Women’s ROAS, emphasised the significance of the expo, which showcases the ability of art to keep pace with modern technologies, promote innovation and creativity, and advance gender equality.

The exhibition, which is open to the public on Friday and Saturday from 05:00 pm to 10:00 pm, highlights the role of digital arts in advancing the Kingdom's artistic and cultural scene, including the use of NFT applications, which enables the possession of artworks digitally.
