Royal Charity Organisation projects launched in Egypt

Upon the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and under the patronage of HM the King’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO), HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, RCO Secretary General Mustafa Al Sayed has launched the Kingdom of Bahrain’s projects in Egypt.

The projects, implemented by the Royal Charity Organisation in cooperation with Egypt’s Zakat and Alms House, include two complexes and two health centres built for Al Azhar Al Sharif in Egypt.

Kingdom’s Ambassador to Egypt Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Secretary General of Egypt’s Zakat and Alms House, Nasser Fouad, Egyptian Assistant Health Minister Hala Zaidan and several officials attended the launching ceremony.

Al Sayed expressed gratitude and appreciation to HM the King for the Royal Directives citing the honour presented by this supportive humanitarian gesture to serve our brethren in Egypt, which reflects the amicable bilateral ties between the leadership, government and people in both countries. 

He praised the huge support received by the RCO from the government led by Prime Minster HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime 

Minister, HRH Prince Salman  bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and commended the efforts  of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in leading and running the humanitarian and charity work undertaken by the RCO.

These projects are part of Bahrain’s support to Egypt, which hosts more than 3,50,000 Syrian refugees and provides them with all services.

Shaikh Rashid lauded the great efforts of HM the King in supporting charity and humanitarian work, affirming this project would stand testimony to the unique historically-extending bilateral ties. Such projects will serve a large number of Egyptian citizens and Syrian brethren in terms of educational service.
