Bahrain committed to further strengthening Labour Market, says HRH CP, PM

Bahrain's commitment to adopting policies and programmes that strengthen the labour market and productivity was highlighted by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, yesterday.

During a meeting with the Director General of the International Organisation for Migration, António Vitorino, at Riffa Palace, HRH also emphasised Bahrain resolve to boosting cooperation with the agency in line with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

In this regard, The Crown Prince and Prime Minister noted the significant role played by Team Bahrain, including citizens and residents, in furthering the Kingdom’s progressive development.

HRH Prince Salman further highlighted that Bahrain’s Tier 1 status in the US State Department’s Trafficking in Persons report for five consecutive years is a reflection of the Kingdom’s success in adopting international best practices in anti-trafficking efforts.

A number of issues of common interest were discussed during the meeting, including existing cooperation between Bahrain and the International Organization for Migration.

The Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
