Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, the First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, urged international speakers to share their recommendations and suggestions on issues in their respective countries.
He emphasised the importance of open dialogue, which is evident through the IPU assembly and meetings, even though there is more work to be done in terms of human rights. In this regard, the First Deputy Speaker also highlighted the tremendous strides the Kingdom has taken to improve human rights through legislation.
He added that Bahrain is committed to advancing the quality of life for all, particularly by improving women's rights. The MP, however, acknowledged that no country or government is perfect, although countries worldwide are working to improve human rights.
Salman Ahmed also emphasised the importance of coexistence in any society and stated that the government is actively working to establish a solid foundation to encourage peaceful coexistence through modified legislation.
