Bahrain courts to expand English language litigations

Bahrain courts are expanding the use of the English language in litigation and Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR).
This comes after the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf bin Muhammad Al Maawda, issued an amendment to Resolution No. (117) of 2021 expanding the usage of the English language in court litigations and BCDR.
It is in line with the Kingdom’s commitment to further develop commercial dispute resolution mechanisms through the use of the English language in litigation proceedings, especially those related to commercial and financial cases.
