HM King Hamad restructures RERA

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa restructured the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), based on a presentation by the Prime Minister and approval from the Cabinet.

The newly formed board will be chaired by Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf and will have a total of nine members, including the ministers of Housing and Urban Planning, as well as Industry and Commerce.

Other members of the board include CEO of the Urban Planning and Development, representative Mai Mohammed Ashoor from the Economic Development Board, the Director-General of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, Bassem Mohammed Al Sai, Abdul Ghaffar Abdulrahim Al Kooheji, Mohammed Rajab Ayoob, and Dr Maher Abdulaziz Al Shaer.

Separately, HM the King also appointed an undersecretary and two assistant undersecretaries at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning Asem Abdullatif Abdullatif is appointed as Undersecretary at the Ministry of Housing, Dunya Faisal Sarhan as Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Information, Fatima Ibrahim Khalifa Al Mannai as Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Services Affairs and Balsam Al Ali Abd Ali Al Salman as Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs.
