New mosque opens in Bahrain

Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed bin Fatees Al Hajeri inaugurated the Ahmed bin Abdulrahman Al Mehza Mosque in Hajiyat in the Southern Governorate.
The opening is in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan and in implementation of the vision of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and in line with the directives of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to take care of mosques all over Bahrain,
Al Hajeri affirmed the importance of building mosques and houses of worship and stressed their role in fostering religious and moral values.
The mosque features prayer halls for men and women with a capacity of 1,000 worshippers, and a center for teaching the Holy Quran.
