HRH Prince Salman restructures Civil Defence Council

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday issued Edict (25) of 2023, on restructuring the Civil Defence Council, based on the proposal of the Minister of Interior, and following the approval of the Cabinet.
According to the edict, the Civil Defence Council will be chaired by the Minister of Interior, and comprise the following members: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Minister of Finance and National Economy, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, Minister of Oil and Environment, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Minister of Works, Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, Minister of Health, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Minister of Sustainable Development, Minister of Information Affairs, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Chief of Public Security, and Director General of the General Directorate of Civil Defence at the Ministry of Interior (Rapporteur of the Council).
The Minister of Interior shall implement the provisions of this edict, which takes effect upon its issuance, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
HRH Prince Salman issued Edict (26) of 2023, on establishing the Traffic Council, based on the proposal of the Minister of Interior.
According to the edict, the Traffic Council shall be chaired by the Minister of Interior, and consist of the following members: Minister of Finance and National Economy, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, Minister of Works, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, Minister of Education, and Director-General of the General Directorate of Traffic (Member and Rapporteur).
