Fun-filled, informative Mommy’s Day Out antenatal class

Middle East Hospital and Medical Centers recently organised a fun-filled and informative Mommy’s Day Out antenatal class event, aimed at supporting and educat-ing expectant mothers in their journey towards motherhood.
With a focus on providing practical guidance and emotional support, the event was an opportunity for moms-to-be to learn from experts in the field and connect with other moms on the same journey.
From informative sessions on prenatal care to engaging activities and games, the event was a day filled with learning, laughter, and friendship.
The event started with a talk by Dr Sahar Zaki, Consultant Obstetrics & Gynecol-ogist at Middle East Hospital, who emphasised the importance of regular antenatal checkups.
She explained that these checkups were critical for the health of both the mother and the baby, and highlighted the various tests that are typically done dur-ing these checkups.
Dr Shaista Sariwal, Specialist Obstetrics & Gynecologist, followed up with a talk about the different types of scans required during pregnancy.
She explained the importance of these scans, and the role they play in ensuring a healthy pregnancy.
Ms Fatima AlMansoori, Yoga Therapist at Middle East Medical Center, Hidd, gave the expectant mothers some useful breathing techniques and chair yoga that could help them deal with the stresses and strains of pregnancy.
She also highlighted the importance of staying active during pregnancy, and shared some easy exercises that could be done at home.
