Pakistan President confers Medal of Excellence on Bahrain National Guard Commander

The President of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi, yesterday honoured General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, the National Guard Commander of Bahrain with the Medal of Excellence in recognition of his efforts to enhance fraternal relations between the two countries.
The award came during an official ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Islamabad to honour senior officers of the Pakistani Army on the occasion of Republic Day The ceremony was in the presence of ministers, and senior officials, including the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir.
General HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa is currently on an official visit to Pakistan at the invitation of Gen. Asim Munir to participate as a “guest of honour” in Pakistan’s Republic Day celebrations observed on March 23.
