A study by UK health and safety consultancy Arinite found that women are 1.5 times more likely to suffer from workplace stress than men, with the highest-pressure peaks occurring among women aged 35-44.

According to studies, working women face more stress and pressure to succeed in their careers while caring for their families.

The burden of household responsibilities and childcare often weighs heavily on women, causing added stress and anxiety.

Olga Ghali, a certified balance life coach and mother of two, explained that society tends to cherish women based on their work achievements rather than their role in raising the next generation.

She also noted that women who make the difficult choice to work and have children should not be shamed but instead encouraged.

The battle for women to choose between a family or a career has led to declining birth rates worldwide.

The World Bank reported that fertility rates fell to 2.3 births per woman by 2020, compared to a height of 5.3 births per woman in 1963.

The UN predicts that the global fertility rate will continue to decline and reach 2.1 by 2050.

To balance their careers and family life, Olga advises investing in a productive system, strategy, and support that assists the household and work environment.

She emphasises the importance of time management, delegating skills, setting strict boundaries, and prioritising rest to achieve balance.

As women continue to pave the way for success in the workforce, it is essential to recognise and support their efforts in balancing their careers and family responsibilities.
