Over the years, self-taught Bahraini artist Abdul Aziz has learned a variety of methods and used them to create amazing pencil and digital paintings.

For artists, there are many different ways of finding inspiration, including through nature, travel, and solitude. Abdul Aziz found inspiration in being isolated since it allowed him to concentrate on his work without interruptions.

Speaking to The Daily Tribune, Aziz said: “Everything in our lives, including cooking, fashion, housework, gardening, and other activities, is an art, and it has some connection to the art; thus, I believe that art is crucial to our way of life."

You can express yourself in any way you like, whether it be by acting, drawing, creating art installations, or posting videos on social media. This is important because everyone in the world has a unique way of thinking, feeling, and expressing themselves. In all honesty, I haven’t even kept track of how many drawings I’ve made throughout my life.

But I began when I was around 9 or 10 years old, and my art teachers always encouraged me. If I were working on a painting, I would prefer to take my time, but if I were working on sketches, it would only take me an hour or two, depending on my mood.

I want to shed light on the impact of society on art. If you look, art has always been a part of every culture on the globe. Since the dawn of time, humans have been using art to convey their emotions and stories by carving pictures on stones and making objects.

We have been doing that and will continue to do it till the very end because that is what we spend most of our lives doing: expressing our emotions via art. Everyone has a preferred method of expression.

Lastly, he added: “I have always loved drawing and sketching art, and there are numerous possibilities to present it, such as art exhibitions organized by the government.” Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) is enhancing the culture sector of the country by supporting many local artists.
