HM King ratifies Bahrain and UK air services deal

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday ratified and issued Law (2) of 2023. According to the law, HM the King ratified the agreement signed between the Government of Bahrain and its UK counterpart on air services, signed here on November 10, 2022, following its approval by the Shura and Representatives councils.

Decree-Law (13) of 1998 on ratifying the air services between Bahrain and the UK and Decree-Law (23) of 2000 on the amendment of the same agreement were abrogated. The Prime Minister, and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this law, which comes into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette.

Undersecretary

HM the King issued Decree (35) of 2023 on appointing an undersecretary, based on the proposal of the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and following the approval of the Cabinet.

The decree stipulates the appointment of Dr Khalid Ahmed Mohammed Hassan as Agriculture and Marine Resources Affairs Undersecretary at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture.

His Majesty also issued Decree (36) of 2023 on appointing two assistant undersecretaries, based on the proposal of the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and following the approval of the Cabinet.

According to the decree, Rawiya Khalifa Ahmed Al Mannai was appointed as Assistant Undersecretary for Joint Municipal Services, and Mohammed Mirza Al Oraibi as Assistant Undersecretary for Agricultural Affairs.

Amendment

HM King Hamad issued Decree (37) of 2023 on amending some provisions of Amiri Decree (1) of 1977 on the establishment of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC), based on the proposal of the Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet.

Under the decree, the phrase “The Minister in charge of municipal affairs” shall replace the phrase “The Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning” contained in Article (1) of Amiri Decree (1) of 1977 on the establishment of the REHC.

The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of this decree, which comes into force immediately, and will be published in the Official Gazette.
