Entries are open to all press institutions and journalists working for local newspapers, weeklies, periodicals, or magazines in Bahrain in Arabic or English whose work appeared during 2022.

The award has four categories: Best Opinion Column, Best Journalistic Investigation, Best Journalistic Interview, and Best Journalistic Image.

Upto five entries allowed

Each journalist or press institution can submit up to five entries in the same category.

Entries must not have been rejected in local competitions or have won any GCC or Arab press award. The award, the minister said, aims at encouraging journalists and media professionals to exert more effort in further developing the sector.
