British Council’s EDUKEX features prospects in UK
The British Council Bahrain’s annual Education UK Exhibition (EDUKEX 2015) that provides students, who aim to pursue undergraduate and graduate programmes, an opportunity to meet representatives from universities, colleges and educational institutions, began at the Acacia Ballroom of the Ramee Grand Hotel yesterday.
The exhibition, which will end today, was opened by British Ambassador Simon Martin and Secretary General of the Higher Education Council, Professor Riyadh Hamza.
The EDUKEX is part of the British Council initiative to enhance cultural and educational relations between Bahrain and the UK by helping create a knowledge-based economy. Students are invited to the EDUKEX to get information from representatives of various universities and institutions on education prospects in the UK.
British Council Director Tony Calderbank said: “We are very pleased to welcome this delegation of British higher education institutions to Bahrain to participate in this year’s EDUKEX. It is a wonderful opportunity for Bahraini students and parents to find out more about the opportunities offered by the UK in the area of higher education and to get first-hand answers to any of their questions about studying there. I strongly encourage everyone who wants to study in the UK to visit the exhibition.”
