Keen to enhance Bahraini families’ standard of living

The Council of Representatives is committed to enhancing Bahraini families’ standard of living, creating rewarding opportunities for youngsters and pushing national development forward.

This was emphasised by Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam as he held a meeting yesterday with Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and Finance, National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Parliament Minister Ghanim bin Fadhl Al Bouainain.

The meeting was also attended by Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Chairman MP Mohammed Salman Al Ahmed, Shura Council Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Chairman Khalid Hussein Al Maskati and MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloum.

The Speaker stressed the keenness of the legislative and executive branches to ensure that citizens’ interests remain the cornerstone of development led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He noted economic growth and the positive outcome of the recovery plan, urging cooperation to achieve fiscal balance for the sake of Bahrain present and future. Cooperation Al Saleh stressed the importance of cooperation between the legislative and executive branches to further national development under the wise leadership of HM the Kingdom, supported by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He noted that joint meetings regarding the state budget for fiscal years 2023 and 2024 would contribute to maintain further financial and economic stability, stressing commitment to continue activating the initiatives stipulated in the fiscal balance program.
