Leaders’ call to unify goals,  double efforts for security
Deputy King HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa stressed that the security and economic situation in the region required doubling of efforts and unifying goals to promote security, stability and development, as they met at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.
The two leaders stated that terrorism was a serious threat to global security and stability, emphasising that extremism was not confined to a specific ideology or thought.
They called for the need to highlight Islam’s tolerance and moderation that were not represented by extremist ideas.
Prince Salman and Prince Khalifa then reviewed local and regional issues, lauding His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s efforts to enhance the Kingdom’s relations with various countries.
The Deputy King also offered profound condolences to HRH Prime Minister over the sad demise of HRH Premier’s Advisor for Industrial and Oil Affairs, the late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa.
He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the soul of the deceased in eternal peace, recalling with appreciation his imprints in the Kingdom’s national work, as well as economic and industrial progress.
