A new partnership between the Government hospitals and the Nasser Vocational Training Centre (NVTC) has been launched to enhance the quality of healthcare and services by incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

The partnership allows government hospitals to utilise the facilities of HH Shaikh Nasser Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Centre for conducting AI research and implementing it in various administrative and health operations.

The agreement was signed in the presence of Government Hospitals CEO Dr. Ahmed Mohammad Al Ansari and NVTC CEO Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Nuaimi, and follows the directives of the Government Hospitals Board of Trustees Chairman, Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa.

The uses of AI include sensor and control systems for medicinal storage, predictive quantity techniques for medicine and patient visits, chatbots for advanced consultations, and smart control panels.

The partnership further aims to improve the proactive treatment of chronic diseases, genetic diseases, and tumours through prediction technology, early disease detection, and determination of appropriate treatment programs, thus contributing to a higher level of readiness and preparation. Al Nuaimi expressed optimism in the partnership to provide the best medical services and rank among developed countries in this field.
