HM King Hamad briefed about Bahrain-US military cooperation

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was briefed yesterday about military cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US. This came as HM the King, who is also Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited the US Naval Support Facility in Bahrain.

Humanitarian operations

His Majesty was also briefed about their humanitarian operations, along with other countries, to secure the freedom of navigation and smooth maritime trade flow in the region and the world.

He was accompanied by the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Commander-in Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander Major-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Royal Guard Special Force Commander Staff Colonel HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

HM the King was welcomed on arrival by the Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) and 5th Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Charles Bradford Cooper, US Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Steven Bondy, and Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force.
