Eid Al Fitr festivities: Police intensify security measures, patrolling in all governorates

As the Eid Al-Fitr festivities continues in the Kingdom, police directorates in all four governorates said they have intensified security measures to ensure the safety of citizens and visitors.
Authorities said they have stationed patrolling-vehicles, officers, community police officers, civil defence vehicles, ambulances and paramedics to ensures a safe celebration.
Patrolling by police and security personnel have been intensified, especially in areas where large crowds are expected to gather for prayers and other celebratory events.
Community police officers have been deployed in various locations, including mosques, Eid prayer halls, streets, malls, commercial markets, and residential neighbourhoods.
Meanwhile, the General Traffic Department has intensified the monitoring of main streets, intersections, commercial complexes, and roads with heavy traffic density, with an increased number of foot and mobile police officers.
The Operations Department, headed by Public Security, has also deployed rescue patrols to support the efforts of the police directorates and ensure a speedy response to incoming reports and incidents.
The General Administration of Civil Defence said it stays ready to ensure a quick response to any emergency communication during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
In addition, the General Administration of Ports Security has confirmed the readiness of the Kingdom’s land, air, and sea ports to facilitate the arrival and departure of visitors.
