Focus on ways to strengthen Bahrain and UK financial, markets cooperation

Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa has highlighted ways of bolstering cooperation with the UK Financial Conduct Authority, stressing the importance of exchanging expertise and best practices in the field of supervision of markets and financial institutions.
This came as Shaikh Salman held a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Financial Conduct Authority Nikhil Rathi in London. The meeting was also attended by Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) Governor Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, Economic Development Board (EDB) Chief Executive Officer Khalid Ibrahim Humaidan and Prime Minister’s Office Director-General Hamad Yacoub Al Mahameed.
During the meeting, the minister noted Bahrain’s strides in supporting innovation and financial technology, and developing financial and investment services by continuing to work on creating solutions that bolster the economy.
