The Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Maestro Dr Mubarak Najm, will hold a concert at the Bahrain National Theater on April 28 evening.

The event will kick off with a musical piece entitled “Victory March” from the opera Aida by the famous Italian composer Verdi from the Romantic period. It will be followed by the opening of the famous opera “The Barber of Seville” by the Italian composer Rossini.

The orchestra will present a piece of Polovtsian dances composed by Russian Alexander Borodin. It will also present a musical show entitled “In the Hall of the King of the Mountain” written by the Norwegian author Edvard Grieg.

The attendees will next listen to a musical performance from the Caucasian theatrical scene “Serdar Procession” by author Ivanov. The orchestra will also play the music of the “Masquerade Ball” by the Armenian author Aram Khachaturian, which is part of an orchestral work that recounts the tragedy of a woman killed by her husband, who falsely accused her of infidelity.

The concert shifts from Russian music to Gulf Arab music from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, arranged in an elaborate and distinctive orchestral manner, as Maestro Dr Najm penned it for the orchestra.

Audiences from the Kingdom of Bahrain can still obtain tickets to watch this exceptional concert by the Bahrain Philharmonic Orchestra, through the Virgin Megastore website.
