Arab honours for King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence

Arab Parliament Speaker Adel bin Abdulrahman Al Asoumi commended the efforts of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence to promote the culture of tolerance.

He stressed the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and keenness to foster religious freedom, inter-faith dialogue and peaceful coexistence.

The Arab Parliament Speaker was speaking during the Arab Parliament’s 4th general session of the third legislative term, which convened at the Arab League’s headquarters, in Cairo.

The King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence was honoured with the Arab Parliament Shield in tribute for its efforts. The shield was handed over to the centre’s Deputy Chairman, Abdulwahab bin Yousef Al Hawaj.

Al Asoumi emphasised the significant role of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence in promoting tolerance and peace and renouncing hatred, violence and extremism.

He lauded the government’s support under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The centre’s Deputy Chairman affirmed the role of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence in fostering peaceful coexistence at the international level through many initiatives.
