Praise for Bahrain-Azerbaijan customs cooperation

President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, praised the high-level customs cooperation and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Azerbaijan and the joint keenness to enhance the exchange of expertise and successful experiences for the development of customs work.
This came as Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad visited Azerbaijan, where Lt-General Shahin Bagirov, Head of Customs of Azerbaijan, received him.
During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation and coordination as well as the follow-up on the implementation of the memorandum of cooperation that was signed between the customs authorities.
They also reviewed customs controls, artificial intelligence, and cargo operations topics. Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad also visited the European Regional Office for Capacity Building to learn more about the facilities equipped for e-training. At the end of the visit, he thanked his counterpart, stressing his dedication to promoting cooperation.
