Man arrested in Bahrain for defrauding shops, hotels with fake transactions

A man suspected of using fake online transactions to defraud shops and hotels of hundreds of Bahraini dinars has been arrested by the Capital Police.
The Capital Governorate Police Directorates stated that the 35-year-old suspect presented a fake payment receipt to the staff, giving them the impression that he had paid through the app.
It was later discovered that he had cheated them by sending a payment request for the same amount after leaving the shops.
The police received multiple complaints from shops in the area and opened an investigation, leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect. Legal action is being taken to refer the suspect to the Public Prosecution.
