Education must adhere to Islamic teachings: Bahrain

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, directed the Minister of Education to immediately halt any changes made to the Kingdom’s educational curricula that are not compatible with Bahrain’s national values designed to protect religion and its core pillars.
The directive was in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s commitment to protecting the Islamic religion. HRH Prince Salman ordered the Education Minister to ensure educational curricula adhere to Islamic teachings, in line with the National Action Charter and the Constitution.
His Royal Highness reiterated that the Islamic religion is inviolable and should be respected and protected at all costs. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad concluded by extending his appreciation to the Kingdom’s religious scholars and members of the Legislative Authority for their commitment to upholding the Kingdom’s national values.
