The Korean Arts Brass Ensemble, one of the leading brass ensembles in Korea, gave a melodious performance at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Thursday.
The event, organised by the embassy, was attended by government officials, diplomatic corps, and culture enthusiasts. The award-winning band played several medleys and musical pieces, including a collaboration with Dana Al Abdulla, pianist at the Bahrain Defence Force Band, on the popular song “Ma Ma’akum Khabar Zain.”
When asked about how they felt about visiting and performing in the Kingdom, the band’s team leader, Bo-min Jeong said: “Before the show, we were told that the Bahraini audience is relatively calm and reserved, however, at the show we are surprised to see their passionate and heartwarming reactions.
The active interaction with the audience made us more invigorated while playing on the stage.” The Korean Arts Brass Ensemble is composed of six alumni from the Korean National University of Arts and features trumpet, trombone, tuba, horn, and percussion players.
