Eight stranded Indian workers travelled back to India with the intervention of the Embassy and with the support and co-operation of the Labour Marketing Regulatory Authority (LMRA). The Embassy continued to help distressed Indian nationals including housemaids by providing boarding and accommodation, as well as granting emergency certificates and tickets to persons in need through the ICWF. It was a productive interactive session.

The grievances/issues of the Indian community were successfully addressed; some were resolved at the open house, while others will be taken up at the earliest possible. Ambassador Srivastava thanked all the Indian associations and community members for their active participation in the Open House.
