Israel’s 75th Independence Day celebrated in Bahrain

The Israeli Embassy held a reception yesterday at the Wyndham Grand Manama Hotel to celebrate the 75th Independence Day of the State of Israel.
The government of Bahrain was represented by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, H.E. Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro.
Among the guests were several Israeli businesspeople, members of the tourism industry in Israel and Israeli NGOs. The colourful event highlighted the diverse culture of Israel and included food prepared by the Arab - Israeli chef Elias Mattar, who cooked a fusion of of Israeli Jewish, Arab and Bahraini dishes, for the guests.
The dance group “Tzuza” (Movement), which included 12 young dancers, who performed a unique “video art” dance show prepared especially for this evening. The performance showcased the journey of Israel over the past decades, highlighting it through music and dance.
In addition, the event featured an exhibition of photos “Israel through the eyes of young Bahrainis” taken by the Bahraini young delegation that had visited Israel last year. The Ambassador of Israel to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr. Eitan Na’eh, emphasised the importance of the growing cooperation between the private sectors and ties between the young generation of Israel and Bahrain.
He highlighted the fact that some joint business projects were already implemented recently, in addition to several youth projects, and of course the visit of the President of Israel, Itzhak Herzog, in December 2022.
The invitees list included hundreds of guests, including high-level government officials, members of the academia, media, the private sector, diplomats and friends of Israel and the embassy.
