General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Minister of Interior, has expressed his appreciation for the "Maan" programme, which spans across 196 schools and benefits over 136,000 students.

The minister viewed that the ”Maan" programme underscores its significant impact in cultivating a conducive and harmonious learning environment, promoting positive behaviours, and instilling important values among students across Bahrain.

The programme, aimed at combating violence and addiction, has successfully led to a 56% reduction in misbehaviours within schools, according to Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports, and Residence Affairs (NPRA), as well as the Head of the Maan programme.

During his active involvement in the programme, the Interior Minister highlighted the expansion of the initiative to cover more schools and students. Additionally, he hailed the programme's ability to keep pace with evolving social and security dynamics, citing the continuous updating of school curricula to raise awareness about peaceful coexistence, cybersecurity, and countering extremism.

In recognition of their contributions, the minister honoured members of the National Anti-Drug Committee, representatives of organisations involved in the programme, and police officers who have taught the programme's curricula in schools.

The programme aligns with the objectives outlined in the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna), emphasising the importance of fostering a positive and cohesive national identity.
