His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, emphasised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to education as a core pillar of development, which shapes future generations of leaders.
HRH Prince Salman noted that investing in Bahraini nationals remains at the core of the Kingdom’s development strategy to meet current and future requirements of the labour market.
He highlighted the importance of modern teaching methods to further strengthen the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Royal Highness was speaking as he met yesterday with the Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Polytechnic, Dr Ciaran O Cathain, at Gudaibiya Palace.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was briefed on Bahrain Polytechnic’s strategy, which aims to supply the labour market with skilled graduates according to the highest educational standards and practices.
He highlighted Bahrain Polytechnic’s efforts in offering comprehensive educational programmes that balance practical training and academic knowledge to meet Bahrain’s labour market requirements.
His Royal Highness commended the efforts of the President and members of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Polytechnic, and its administrative and academic bodies in achieving its goals. The Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and the Chairman of Bahrain Polytechnic’s Board of Trustees, HE Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, and Dr O Cathain thanked His Royal Highness for his continuous support of educational institutions and for strengthening their role in the Kingdom’s development.
They further highlighted the commitment to implement Bahrain Polytechnic’s strategy to benefit the students and keep up to date with modern education methods.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture and the Chairman of Bahrain Polytechnic’s Board of Trustees, HE Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, also attended the meeting.
