Shatha Husain Haji becomes first Bahraini to earn Bachelor of Aviation Management degree in UK

Shatha Husain Haji, 21, has become the first female Bahraini to earn a Bachelor of Aviation Management degree in the United Kingdom, specifically in Coventry.

She is the first Bahraini to be certified with Delf A1, A2, B1, and B2 (Diplome d’Etudes en Langue Francaise), an official qualification awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify the competency of candidates from outside France in the French language.

According to Shatha, the achievement represents the progress and potential of Bahrainis in the field of aviation. It showcases Bahrain’s talent, capabilities, and opportunities that exist within the country. In an exclusive interview with The Daily Tribune, Shatha said: "I look forward to utilising my expertise to contribute to the development of the aviation industry in Bahrain."

This accomplishment is a testament to the power of diversity and inclusion in the aviation field. It demonstrates that barriers can be shattered, stereotypes can be challenged, and everyone, regardless of their background or gender, can excel in their chosen field.

"I hope that my achievement opens doors for others and fosters a more inclusive and diverse aviation industry." Shatha added that choosing to pursue a career in aviation management was not just a decision based on passion; "it was a strategic choice aligned with my strengths and goals."

"The prospect of combining my love for aviation with my aptitude for strategic planning, leadership, and problem-solving made it an easy decision for me." She emphasised that her achievement serves as a source of inspiration for fellow Bahrainis, encouraging them to pursue their passions and reach for the highest heights in their chosen fields.

She added, "I am committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in the aviation field globally and in Bahrain." Shatha also noted that continuous learning and professional development will be crucial for her to stay relevant and continue making a positive impact.

"I will actively seek opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills, whether through advanced certifications, attending conferences, or engaging in research and development," she said.
