Ten inspectors from the Enforcement and Protection Department of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) yesterday sworn in before Nouf Abdulrahman Jamsheer, the Chief Executive of the Authority.
This development follows the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs and Waqf granting LMRA personnel the status of judicial enforcement officers.
The LMRA inspectors are empowered to carry out various tasks, including inspecting workplaces, manpower supply agencies, and recruitment offices.
Their responsibilities involve verifying work permits, examining expatriate workforce records, identifying foreign workers, and requesting necessary information, documents, and data from employers, as well as representatives or managers of manpower supply agencies and recruitment offices.
