Bahrain King hails successful visit of Brunei Sultan

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa praised the successful visit of His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei to the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will further consolidate bilateral ties.

HM the King commended the efforts of HM Sultan Bolkiah in fostering bilateral relations at all levels. His Majesty was speaking as he bid farewell to HM Sultan Bolkiah, His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Mateen ibni Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and the accompanying delegation yesterday.

They were also seen off by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Personal Representative, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and National Security Advisor, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, the Minister of the Royal Court, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the Education Minister, the Information Minister, the BDF Chief of Staff, and the Southern Governor.

Earlier in the day, HM King Hamad received HM Sultan Bolkiah at Sakhir Palace. They reviewed strong historical relations and ways of boosting bilateral cooperation in various domains. They also exchanged views on issues of mutual concern.

His Majesty underlined the keenness of Bahrain to further strengthen relations of cooperation and friendship with Brunei Darussalam in order to achieve the aspirations of the leaderships of both countries and their peoples.

HM Sultan Bolkiah expressed happiness about visiting the Kingdom and meeting HM the King. He thanked HM the King for the gracious welcome and hospitality, expressing keenness on the perpetual development of bilateral relations.
