Bahraini animation director Enas Yaqoub won the gold prize in the documentary category for the film "From Palestine", at the 23rd Arab Radio and TV Festival of the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), held in Tunisia.

The festival is the largest artistic and technology-focused event in the Arab world, bringing together Arab ministers of information and media, prominent artists, and creators in various fields, along with Arab and international media as well as production companies.

The 23rd edition of the festival is held under the theme "Arts and Culture Bring Us Together" and provides the opportunity to showcase the latest innovations and advanced technologies that provide new solutions to meet the aspirations and goals of customers in the region.

At the opening of the festival, Ms. Yaqoub was also honoured for her 20-year career in directing.

"I am proud to be honoured today among the giants of the media in the Arab world, and my presence in this great event is considered a great honour and pride. I am here representing Bahrain, and I hope to raise my sight at all international concerts and festivals," she said.

"I received the gold prize for my film "From Palestine", which tells about the customs, traditions, cities, and foods of the Palestinian people, and this award is a great supporter for me and a motivation to achieve greater achievements in the future."

She has presented a number of works and animated films with a modern and developed style that imitates Arab society's culture through the eyes of a child. Her best-known works include the series Lantern's Tales (2020–2021) and the traveller Ibn Battuta (2018).

She has won many gold, silver, and bronze awards from the most famous Arab and European festivals, especially the Arab Radio and Television Festival, the Gulf Festival for Radio and Television, the Jordan Festival for Arab Media, for the best song of the cartoon series on the Arab world level and the Cairo World Cup, and the Cannes Festival for the best historical Arabic series (Ibn Batouta) and the World Documentary Film Festival (France).
