The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) has highlighted its efforts to support refugees all over the world, in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives on promoting humanitarian work.

In a press conference held yesterday marking the World Refugee Day, which is observed worldwide every June 20, the RHF said that its efforts have contributed significantly to alleviating the suffering of refugees.

The event featured a film and a report prepared by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). They shed light on the humanitarian projects implemented by the RHF in collaboration with the UNHCR in many countries.

RHF Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, extended profound thanks and gratitude to HM King Hamad, the RHF Honorary President, for HM’s unwavering interest in supporting the humanitarian work carried out by the RHF.

He also paid tribute to the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for its humanitarian efforts. Dr. Al Sayed also commended the efforts made by HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, to lead the RHF’s endeavours to implement the royal directives to serve the needy in Bahrain and abroad.

The RHF cited its recent success in winning the Hamdan-ICESCO Prize for Voluntary Development of Education Facilities in the Islamic world.
