Bahrain affirms commitment to protecting human rights

HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday affirmed his unwavering dedication to protecting and upholding human rights values in Bahrain.
While expressing full commitment to safeguarding rights, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, underscored that rights are a fundamental pillar of the comprehensive development spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HRH noted that Bahrain’s commitment to human rights is firmly enshrined in the Constitution, the National Action Charter, and the country’s laws and legislation.
HRH Prince Salman made the remarks while receiving the 10th annual report of the National Institution for Human Rights from NIHR chairman Ali Ahmed Alderazi.
The meeting at the Gudaibiya Palace was attended by Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.
Further, His Royal Highness commended the role of the NIHR in bolstering and safeguarding human rights and wished the Chairman and members of the institution continued success in their endeavours.
