Bahrain to get five fast-charging stations for electric vehicles

The Electricity and Water Authority is preparing to construct five rapid charging stations for Electric Vehicles (EVs), said Yaser bin Ibrahim Humaidan, the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs (EWA).
This announcement came during a meeting with the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Car Dealers Association.
The minister said the initiative aligns with Bahrain’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by the year 2060.
The meeting highlighted various endeavours to support renewable energy initiatives, including the adoption of EVs.
It also underscored the importance of developing new renewable energy projects and establishing the necessary infrastructure for EVs, all aimed at raising public awareness and fostering a sustainable lifestyle.
