Beauty salons in Bahrain are now at capacity due to the large number of women waiting in line for various treatments.

Salons try to attract customers by offering tempting deals and packages that contain a variety of services at reduced prices.

Young girls usually visit beauty salons for treatments such as colouring and hair masks, while older women choose various facials and hair dyes.

Additional services that young girls regularly seek out include upper lip plucking, haircuts, high lights, low lights, French pedicures, and manicures.

According to a source, numerous beauty shops are facing fierce competition.

In addition, stylists have to work longer hours since businesses are open until late at night with no extra pay.

Beauticians disclosed that, despite a rapid expansion in the number of parlours, they are unable to keep up with an unprecedented influx of consumers.

However, some prominent salons, whether small or large, are outsourcing part-time work to many henna artists around Bahrain to beat the Eid rush.

"While caring for their families and performing daily tasks, women neglect their own needs," remarked housewife Shaima Hussain. I took time out of my hectic schedule to treat myself at the salon. However, because of the Eid rush at salons, I've been pretty stressed out since I want to get served as soon as possible."

"I booked a salon appointment two weeks ago and arrived 30 minutes before the appointment to avoid the rush," Sara Fahim said, "but I ended up waiting for an hour."

Meanwhile, salon manager Rashida stated, "When we are overwhelmed, customers become more irritated, and receptionists, in turn, put more pressure on beauticians to finish quickly."
